China’s power consumption up 27.63 percent in November

According to the latest figures released by China's National Energy Administration, the country's power consumption in November rose 4.77 percent from the previous month to 328.388 billion kWh, up 27.36 percent year on year. The growth rate was up 11.76 percentage points compared with the year-on-year growth rate in October, indicating an accelerating rise in power consumption.

Following power consumption figures of 322.408 billion kWh and 313.423 billion kWh for September and October respectively, the high November figure is seen as an indication of robust economic recovery.

In November, industry-based power consumption registered a year-on-year growth of 31.89 percent, with respective year-on-year growths of 13.7 percent and 36.15 percent for light and heavy industry.
