China’s medium plate output down 1.4 percent in April

In April this year, China's outputs of medium plate, heavy plate and ultra-heavy plate amounted to 3.585 million mt, 2.084 million mt and 639,000 mt, decreasing by 1.4 percent, declining by 1.7 percent and rising by 11.7 percent year on year, respectively, according to China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

In the January-April period of the year, China's outputs of medium plate, heavy plate and ultra-heavy plate totaled 12.913 million mt, 8.495 million mt and 2.558 million mt, decreasing by 1.8 percent, up 3.1 percent, and rising by 20.3 percent year on year, respectively.
