China’s medium plate output down 12.4 percent in March

In March this year, China's outputs of medium plate, heavy plate and ultra-heavy plate amounted to 3.232 million mt, 2.163 million mt and 614,000 mt, decreasing by 12.4 percent, increasing by 0.8 percent and rising by 13.5 percent year on year, respectively, according to China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

In the January-March period of the year, China's outputs of medium plate, heavy plate and ultra-heavy plate totaled 9.335 million mt, 6.411 million mt and 1.918 million mt, decreasing by 2.0 percent, up 4.6 percent, and rising by 23.1 percent year on year, respectively.
