China’s largest known molybdenum deposit discovered in Anhui

The Bureau of Geology and Mineral Exploration of the eastern Chinese province of Anhui has announced the discovery of a molybdenum deposit in the county of Jinzhai, with proven reserves of molybdenum ore (1.7 percent) reaching 500,000 mt. The deposit is the largest molybdenum deposit discovered to date in China.

The bureau has already signed an agreement with a major domestic miner for the development of mining projects at the deposit. However, no information has yet been issued concerning the identity of the miner.
