In 2007, Dongbei Special Steel Group (DSSG) produced a total of 300,000 mt of stainless long products, ranking first in China's domestic market. Meanwhile, DSSG's production of bearing steels in 2007 reached 600,000 mt, constituting the largest domestic market share with product quality matching the Swedish SKF standard. The producer's output of long products for use in the automotive sector reached 600,000 mt, accounting for a 40 percent market share in China. DSSG also produced 260,000 mt of tool and die steel in 2007, ranking first in the country with a 50 percent market share.

DSSG states that it has made significant breakthroughs in the development of new products, including tool and die steel, high-temperature alloy steels, high-strength steels and pinion steels, reaching the most advanced levels in China.

In 2005, DSSG's production base in Fushun became the only materials supplier in China for the world-famous British motor producer Rolls-Royce Company, supplying materials used in engines of international airliners.
