China’s coal shipments by railway up five percent in January

China's National Development and Reform commission (NDRC) has announced that in January of the current year coal shipments by Chinese railways amounted to 215 million mt, up five percent year on year.

In the given month, the railway line from Datong, Shanxi Province to Qinhuangdao, Hebei Province transported 39.74 million mt of coal, up 2.2 percent, while the railway line from Houma, Shanxi to Yueshan, Henan transported 16.04 million mt of coal, up 14.7 percent, both year on year.
