In the January-May period this year, China’s raw coal output amounted to 1.42 billion mt, increasing by 0.9 percent year on year, as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
In May alone, China’s raw coal output amounted to 310.0 million mt, up 3.5 percent year on year.
In May, China imported 27.47 million mt of coal, up 23.0 percent year on year, while importing 127.39 million mt of coal in the January-May period of the year, rising by 5.6 percent year on year.
