China’s coal imports up 88.8 percent in January-April

In the January-April period of the current year, China’s coal imports amounted to 142.476 million mt, rising by 88.8 percent year on year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities.

In April alone, China’s coal imports totaled 40.676 million mt, down 1.2 percent month on month, while increasing by 17.126 million mt or by 72.7 percent compared to the same month last year.
