China’s coal imports increase slightly in H1

China exported 400,000 mt of coal in June this year, down 18.37 percent month on month and declining by 16.7 percent year on year, while it exported 3.16 million mt of coal in the first half of the year, decreasing by 22.4 percent year on year, according to data issued by the Chinese customs authorities on July 10.

In June, China imported 25.05 million mt of coal, increasing by 4.33 percent month on month and up 12 percent year on year, while its coal imports in the first six months amounted to 159.87 million mt, up 0.9 percent year on year.
