China’s coal imports down 37.7 percent in January-April

China exported 290,000 mt of coal in April this year, down 3.33 percent year on year, while it exported 1.26 million mt of coal in the first four months of the year, decreasing by 44.4 percent year on year, according to data issued by the Chinese customs authorities.

In April, China imported 19.95 million mt of coal, decreasing by 26.4 percent year on year, while its coal imports in the first four months amounted to 69.02 million mt, down 37.7 percent year on year.
