China’s coal and lignite imports up 10.6% in Jan-Nov after strong Nov results

In the January-November period this year, China imported 292.321 million mt of coal and lignite, up 10.6 percent year on year, 8.7 percentage points faster than the increase rate in the first ten months this year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities on December 8.

In November alone, China imported 35.052 million mt of coal and lignite, up 198.1 percent year on year, while rising by 30.1 percent month on month.
