On August 11 at a press conference regarding the ‘2010 Green Expo', Jiang Yaoping, deputy minister at China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC), said that in the second half of the current year the export rebate on goods produced by industries in China with high levels of energy consumption and pollution will be adjusted, though the adjustment in question will be small.

Mr. Jiang recalled that in the first half of the year, in line with the national policy to save energy and reduce emissions, some adjustments were made to the export tax rebate for products of industries with high levels of energy consumption and pollution, including the steel industry.
