China posts 53.5 percent increase in industrial profits in Jan-Sept

In the first nine months of 2010, the aggregate operating profits of large scale industrial enterprises across China came to RMB 2.5 trillion ($374 billion), up 53.5 percent year on year, with this growth rate 2.8 percentage points lower than the year-on-year increase recorded in the first eight months of the current year.

Meanwhile, in the first nine months of this year, revenues from the large scale enterprises surveyed reached RMB 40 trillion ($6 billion), rising by 32.6 percent compared with the first nine months of 2009, which is 1.1 percentage points lower than the year-on-year increase recorded for the January-August period this year.

As of the end of September, accounts receivable of the enterprises in question stood at RMB 4.7 trillion ($703 billion), an increase of 22.6 percent year on year, 1.2 percentage points lower than at the end of August.
