In early June (June 1-10) this year, production and sales of automotive vehicles of 11 major vehicle producers in China amounted to 700,000 units and 494,000 units, respectively, up 63.4 percent and 40.8 percent compared to early May (May 1-10), while rising by 86.1 percent and 34 percent year on year, according to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).

CAAM said that the better situation as regards the Covid-19 pandemic contributed to the rises in production and sales of automotive vehicles in early June.

However, more cases of the virus have emerged at the Xinfadi Agricultural Products Wholesale Market in Beijing, which will negatively affect the market in the near future as Beijing has adopted stringent measures to cope with the new outbreak.
