In April this year, sales of automotive vehicles in China are expected to amount to 2 million units, up 39.8 percent month on month, while rising by 0.9 percent year on year, according to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).

Production of automobile producers and spare parts producers in China has gradually resumed or is close to normal levels, which eased supply pressure on upstream and downstream enterprises in the supply chain.

Meanwhile, CAAM has forecast that the sales of automotive vehicles in China in the January-April period of the year will reach 5.67 million units, down 32.1 percent year on year.

CAAM also stated that the sales of automotive vehicles in China in the second half of the year will likely exceed sales in the same period last year amid a series of stimulus policy measures issued by the China government, though they will be impacted by the impact of the coronavirus pandemic in overseas markets.
