Brazil's semi-finished steel exports totaled 305,00 metric tons in the first two weeks of September, indicating a decrease of 3.3 percent in terms of average daily export volume as compared to August, while the year-on-year change is a sharp 15.4 percent drop, according to the figures provided by the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (MDIC).
In the meantime, Brazil's finished steel exports in the given period (which included 10 working days) amounted to 44,000 metric tons, translating into an average daily volume of 4,400 mt, 7.6 percent lower than the August daily average and 3.9 percent higher than the daily average in September 2012.
