Brazil's motor vehicle output up 20.7 percent in June from May

Brazil's motor vehicle output (excluding agricultural vehicles) in June this year increased by 20.7 percent from the previous month and rose by 21.1 percent year on year to 256,300 units, according to the Brazilian Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Association (Anfavea). Meanwhile, in the January-June period of 2018, the country's motor vehicle output (excluding agricultural vehicles) grew by 13.6 percent year on year to 1,434,510 units.

New motor vehicle registrations (excluding agricultural vehicles) in Brazil totaled 202,000 units in June this year, remaining unchanged compared to May and up 3.6 percent year on year. In the January-June period, the country's new motor vehicle registrations (excluding agricultural vehicles) increased by 14.4 percent year on year to 1,166,750 units.

Meanwhile, Brazil's motor vehicle exports in June (excluding agricultural vehicles) totaled 64,910 units, rising by 6.8 percent compared to the previous month and down 4.4 percent year on year. In the January-June period, Brazil's motor vehicle exports totaled 379,001 units, up 0.5 percent year on year.
