Brazil's iron ore export volume amounted to 35.99 million mt in July this year, increasing 15 percent compared to the same month of 2017, according to the information released by the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade. Brazil's iron ore exports in July totaled $1.81 billion in value, increasing 54 percent year on year.
In July, Brazil's export volume of semi-finished products of iron and steel amounted to 717,473 mt, up by 3.3 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, while these exports were valued at $427.43 million, increasing by 41.5 percent year on year.
Meanwhile, in July Brazil's flat steel exports totaled 138,301 metric tons, down by 33.5 percent year on year. The revenue generated by these exports totaled $96.35 million, down 19 percent from the July 2017 level.
