BMZ issues January-November production results

Byelorussian Iron and Steel Works (BMZ) has issued its production results for the first eleven months of 2008.

Accordingly, during the given period the mill recorded an 8.3 percent increase in its crude steel production to 2.26 million mt and a 9.6 percent rise in its rolled steel production to 1.85 million mt, both compared with the same period last year.

The company's exports for the period in question amounted to a value of $1.58 billion, up 39.3 percent year on year.
