BMZ issues January-July production results

Byelorussian Iron and Steel Works (BMZ) has released its production results for the first seven months of 2008.

Accordingly, during the given period the mill recorded a 9.5 percent increase in its crude steel production to 1.46 million mt and a 12.4 percent rise in its rolled steel production to 1.2 million mt, both compared with the same period last year.
 
The company's exports for the period in question amounted to a value of $1.11 billion, up 43.5 percent year on year.
