BMZ issues Jan-Apr production results

Byelorussian Iron and Steel Works (BMZ) has released its production results for the first four months of 2008.

Accordingly, during the given period the mill recorded a 9.9 percent increase in its crude steel production to 825,700 mt, and also a 13 percent rise in its rolled steel production to 676,200 mt.
 
Moreover, in January-April BMZ produced almost 14,000 mt of seamless pipes. In this period the company's exports amounted to $572.4 million, up 27.9 percent compared with the same period of last year.
