Australia-based steelmaker BlueScope Steel AIS will supply steel plates to BAE Systems subsidiary ASC Shipbuilding for its Hunter class frigate construction program for the Australian Navy, as announced by ASC Shipbuilding.
Within the scope of the given agreement worth $2.6 million, the steelmaker will supply over 1,500 mt of steel plate in order to build nine Hunter Class ships, which will be among the world’s most advanced anti-submarine warfare frigates, for Australian Navy.
