BHP Billiton completes acquisition of HWE Mining

Australian miner BHP Billiton has announced that it has completed the acquisition of the provider of contract mining services, HWE Mining, subsidiary of the Australia-based development company Leighton Holdings.

As SteelOrbis previously reported, in August this year BHP Billiton signed a head of agreement to switch from contract mining to in-house operations in its Western Australian iron ore business
