NLMK Europe, which includes all the steel businesses in Europe of Russia-based NLMK Group, has announced that its Belgium-based rolling mill NLMK La Louvière's pickling line No. 1 resumed operations recently, following the fire which seriously damaged the pickling line last year.

The repairs on the pickling line No. 1 took less than a year and the workers who were made redundant as a result of force majeure regained their jobs with the recent reopening.

NLMK La Louvière aims to recover the market share in pickled coils which was lost during the rebuilding of the line.
