Beacon Hill makes first thermal coal shipment from Mozambique

Australian coking coal producer Beacon Hill Resources has announced that it shipped its first coal exports from its Minas Moatize Coal Mine in Mozambique from the Port of Beira on Saturday, December 17. 
 
Beacon Hill's first shipment of 10,650 mt of thermal coal was first transported to the port from the mine and then shipped to the customers via the seaborne market.
 
Beacon Hill stated that coking coal production at Minas Moatize is expected to commence in the first quarter of 2012. The company also plans to increase the coking and thermal coal output to 2 million mt per year over the next two years.
