Baotou Steel ups flat prices for January 2008

On December 21, 2007, Baotou Steel issued its January 2008 ex-factory prices for flat products. The details are as follows:

HR:

The ex-factory price has increased RMB 400/mt ($55/mt). As a result, the new price of 3.0 mm Q235 HRC is at RMB 4,820/mt ($658/mt), while that of 5.5 mm Q235 HRC is at RMB 4,650/mt ($634/mt).

CR:

The ex-factory price has risen by RMB 400/mt ($55/mt). Thus the new price of 1.0 mm SPCC CRC is at RMB 5,400/mt ($737/mt).

Full Hard:

The ex-factory price has increased RMB 250/mt ($34). As a result, the new price of 1.0 mm SPCC Full Hard is at RMB 4,700/mt ($641/mt).

HDG:

The ex-factory price has gone up by RMB 300/mt ($41/mt). The new price of 1.0 mm SGCC HDG is at RMB 5,400/mt ($737/mt).

The above prices include 17 percent VAT and are effective as of December 21, 2007.
