Baotou Steel announces Feb 2008 prices for flats

On January 17, 2008, Baotou Steel issued its ex-factory prices for flats for February 2008. The details are as follows:

HR:

The ex-factory price has remained unchanged compared with January. As a result, the new price of 3.0 mm Q235 HRC is at RMB 4,820/mt ($665/mt), while that of 5.5 mm Q235 HRC is at RMB 4,650/mt ($641/mt).

CR:

The ex-factory price has increased RMB 200/mt ($28/mt). Thus, the new price of 1.0 mm SPCC CRC is at RMB 5,600/mt ($772/mt).

Full Hard:

The ex-factory price has risen RMB 100/mt ($14/mt). As a result, the new price of 1.0 mm SPCC Full Hard is at RMB 4,800/mt ($662/mt).

HDG:

The ex-factory price has increased RMB 100/mt ($14/mt). After adjustment, the new price of 1.0 mm SGCC HDG is at RMB 5,500/mt ($759/mt).

The above prices include 17 percent VAT and are effective as of January 17, 2008.
