On March 21, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region-based Baotou Steel issued ex-factory prices for its flat steel products for April. The details are as follows:
HR:
The ex-factory price has increased RMB 100/mt ($14/mt). As a result, the new price of 3.0 mm Q235 HRC is at RMB 5,520/mt ($783/mt), while that of 5.5 mm Q235 HRC is at RMB 5,350/mt ($759/mt).
CR:
The ex-factory price has risen RMB 100/mt ($14/mt). Thus the new price of 1.0 mm SPCC CRC is at RMB 6,450/mt ($915/mt).
Full Hard:
The ex-factory price has increased RMB 100/mt ($14/mt). After the adjustment, the new price of 1.0 mm SPCC Full Hard is at RMB 5,700/mt ($809/mt).
HDG:
The ex-factory price has gone up RMB 150/mt ($21/mt). Thus the new price of 1.0 mm SGCC HDG is at RMB 6,350/mt ($901/mt).
Medium plate:
The ex-factory price has remained unchanged and so the price of 14-22 mm Q235 medium plate is still at RMB 5,500/mt ($780/mt).
The above prices include 17 percent VAT and are effective as of March 21, 2008.
