Baogang’s finished steel export volume rises eight percent in H1

Inner Mongolia-based Chinese steelmaker Baotou Iron and Steel (Baogang Group) has announced that in the first half of the current year its finished steel export volume amounted to 513,900 mt, up eight percent compared to the same period last year.

In addition, Baogang Group earned a total of $352 million from its finished steel exports in the period in question, up two percent year on year. The steelmaker is targeting a finished steel export volume of over 1 million mt for 2012.
