Azovstal ships 2 million mt of slabs to Dongkuk over 15 years

Azovstal, a subsidiary of the Ukrainian mining and metals business group Metinvest, has announced that over the 15 years of its partnership with South Korean flat steel producer Dongkuk, Azostal has supplied the latter with a total of two million metric tons of slabs.

"Currently, Azovstal ships around 10 percent of its slab production to Dongkuk. Therefore we consider Dongkuk as one of our most important partners. Of course, our stategy is to limit the share occupied by semi-finished in our sales; however, successful partnership with our key partners, such as Dongkuk, remains our priority," commented the director of Metinvest's finished steel and rolled steel division, Igor Koritko.
