Azarbaijan Steel’s long steel output climbs up by 22 percent

Iranian steelmaker Azarbaijan Steel produced 100,500 mt of long steel (mostly rebar) in the first two months of the current Iranian year (started March 21), showing an increase of 22 percent compared to the corresponding period of the last Iranian year - according to the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).

Azarbaijan Steel is a long steel rolling mill with an annual output capacity of 550,000 mt. It is currently building a new steel plant with an annual capacity of one million mt of billet. This will feed the steelmaker's existing rolling mill when it comes on stream.
