AvestaPolarit plans to close Panteg cold rolling facility

On October 23, stainless steel producer AvestaPolarit which is the subsidiary of Outokumpu, declared their intention to close Panteg plant in Wales, Britain as the plant couldn't succeed in improving its financial results for a many years. With figures on hand, the cumulative loss that Panteg has recorded since 1997 is equal to around €50 million. The closure which will cause around 136 job cuts, is planned to take place at the end of March next year.
