Argentina’s crude steel production declines 27.9 percent in September

Argentina’s crude steel production in September declined 27.9 percent, year-­on-year, and 6.2 percent, month-­on-­month, to 322,100 mt, the nation’s steel chamber, CAA, said on Monday.
According to the local steel union, accumulated crude steel output in the January-­September period was 3.07 million mt, 18.6 percent down, year­-on-­year.
 
Argentinian hot rolled finished steel production in the ninth month of the year reached 336,000 mt, 0.2 percent down, year-­on-­year, but 54 percent up, month­-on-­month.  As for the nine-month period, accumulated hot rolled finished steel production totaled 2.86 million mt, 15.6 percent down, year­-on­-year.
 
CAA said Argentinian cold rolled flat steel output in September rose 1.6 percent, year-­on-­year, and 57.1 percent, month­-on-­month, to 106,200 mt. Accumulated cold rolled flat steel output from January to September was 1.01 million mt, 5.9 percent down, year-­on-­year.
