Argentina's Ministry of Industry and Tourism has announced its decision to impose a 295 percent antidumping (AD) duty on certain malleable cast iron pipes originating from China.

The decision is effective from November 20, 2010 and the period of validity is five years.

At the same time, Argentina has also decided to impose a 143 percent AD duty on the same products originating from Brazil.

On May 14, 2009, Argentina initiated an antidumping investigation regarding malleable cast iron pipes originating from Brazil and China. The products codes in question are N.C.M. 7307.19.10 and 7307.19.90.
