ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih’s crude steel output up 11.8 percent in Jan-Apr

In the January-April period of the current year, the crude steel production of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, Ukrainian subsidiary of global steel giant ArcelorMittal, totaled 2.0467 million mt, up 11.8 percent year on year.

In addition, in the first four months of the year ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih registered a 9.9 percent increase year on year in its finished steel output to 1.7608 million mt. During the period in question, pig iron production at ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih increased by 14 percent year on year to 1.7864 million mt.

Meanwhile, in April alone crude steel production at ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih increased by 24.4 percent to 576,700 mt, output of finished steel went up by 23.3 percent to 485,300 mt, and production of pig iron moved up by 26.5 percent to 497,600 mt, all on year-on-year basis.
