ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih’s crude steel output falls by 11 percent in January-May

In the January-May period of the current year, the crude steel production of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, Ukrainian subsidiary of global steel giant ArcelorMittal, totaled 2.308 million mt, down 11 percent year on year. In addition, in the first five months of the year, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih registered a nine percent decrease year on year in its finished steel output to 2.012 million mt.


During the period in question, coke production at ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih rose by one percent to 1.111 million mt, while its iron ore concentrate output increased by four percent to 3.713 million mt - both on year-on-year basis.
