ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih’s crude steel output down 10.4 percent in Jan-Feb

In the January-February period this year, Ukrainian integrated steel mill ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih’s crude steel production decreased by 10.4 percent year on year to 843,000 mt, while its pig iron output dropped by 6.3 percent year on year to 859,000 mt. Meanwhile, the situation in finished steel segment is quite the contrary. In the given period, the company managed to increase its finished steel output by 12.7 percent year on year to 845,000 mt, SteelOrbis understands.

In particular, in February the company produced 413,000 mt of crude steel, 427,000 mt of pig iron and 390,000 mt of finished steel, respectively. The company’s output of agglomerate amounted 752,000 mt in February, while its iron ore and iron ore concentrate output totaled 56,000 and 810,000 mt, respectively.
