In the January-November period of the current year, the crude steel production of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, Ukrainian subsidiary of global steel giant ArcelorMittal, totaled 5.155 million mt, down 8.8 percent year on year.

In addition, in the first 11 months of the year, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih registered a 9.8 percent decrease year on year in its finished steel output to 4.470 million mt. During the period in question, pig iron production at ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih decreased by 9.9 percent year on year to 4.416 million mt.

Meanwhile, in December ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih plans to carry out capital repairs at its converter No. 3, including replacement of gas flue pipes. Repair work will also be carried out on metal works, conveyer systems and the electrical substation. As a result, the company expects to increase operational reliability and to reduce downtime caused by equipment failure.
