In 2019, Ukrainian integrated steel mill ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih managed to boost its production performance in all steel segments.
According to preliminary data, in 2019 the company produced 5.3 million mt of steel, up 11.8 percent year on year. At the same time, its pig iron output grew by 14.9 percent year on year to 5.3 million mt.
In 2019, the company’s production of agglomerate increased by 14.3 percent to 9.8 million mt, its iron ore concentrate output rose by 5.8 percent to 9.8 million mt, and its coke production moved up by three percent to 2.8 million mt, all year on year. Its merchant iron ore output declined by 7.8 percent compared to 2018 to 851,000 mt.
In December, ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih produced 440,000 mt of finished steel, 390,000 mt of crude steel and 419,000 mt of pig iron, SteelOrbis has learned.
