ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih, Ukraine-based subsidiary of the world's largest integrated metals and mining company ArcelorMittal, has issued its preliminary production results for 2009.
In 2009, ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih produced 4.487 million mt of finished steel - down 17.2 percent, 5.054 million mt of crude steel - down 18.9 percent, 4.418 million mt of pig iron - down 21.6 percent, and 7.879 million mt of agglomerate - down 18.4 percent, all compared to 2008.
Moreover, in 2009, the company registered a 10.2 percent decrease in its coke production to 2.367 million mt, a 9.5 percent fall in its iron ore concentrate output to 7.061 million mt, and a 25.8 percent decrease in its iron ore output to 1.186 million mt.
