ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih halts light-section mill 250-3 for repair

Ukrainian steelmaker ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih, a subsidiary of steel giant ArcelorMittal, has stopped the light-section mill 250-3 at its section rolling shop No. 1 in order to carry out repairs.

During the overhaul, the total cost of which is to amount UAH 3.5 million (approx. $457,516), ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih will repair the mill's reheating furnace.

The duration of the repair works and the expected date for the recommissioning of the light-section mill have not been disclosed.

ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih's light-section mill produces reinforcing steel bars of 10-12 mm diameter and has an annual production capacity of 685,000 mt.
