ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih completes scheduled repairs of OHF No. 4

The Ukrainian steelmaker ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih, an affiliate of steel giant ArcelorMittal, has announced the completion of scheduled repair works at its open hearth furnace (OHF) No. 4. 

As a result of the repairs, which were carried out at the plant's OHF No. 4 from July 7 to July 27, ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih will be able reduce heat losses, maintenance costs, fuel and energy use and carbon dioxide emissions. In addition, the modernization work allows the plant to improve the working of the furnace's gas purifying system, to maintain its technical working regime and to reduce the possibility of accident occurrence.
