Anshan Steel receives green light for its shipbuilding plate

Liaoning Province-based Chinese steelmaker Anshan Steel has announced that its welded steel plate used in shipbuilding and in offshore oil extraction platforms has obtained certification from the shipping bureaus of the US, Norway, Germany, Japan and China.    

The product in question has been successfully developed through the collaboration of Anshan Steel and the China Iron and Steel Research Institute (CISRI) within the scope of a national scientific research program. So far the company has produced 150,000 mt of the product, reporting high praise from customers for performance and quality.
