Anniversary exclusions to be granted by the US Government

US government is intending to consider further requests of exclusions from the Section 201 safeguard tariffs initially implemented in March 2002. According to an announcement by the US Trade Representative Office (USTR) at the anniversary dates of these safeguard measures further requests for exclusions will be evaluated. The procedure for requestors will be similar to the previously applied questionnaires, web site postings and objector questionnaires. The deadline will most probably early December in order to submit all documents required for those looking to be granted new exclusions. The exclusion requests will be reviewed in the second half of January 2003.
