American Cast Iron Pipe to build new Michigan facility

City officials in Flint, Michigan announced Wednesday that American Cast Iron Pipe Co. of Birmingham, Alabama, will build a new facility to supply water transmission pipe for the Karegnondi Water Authority at an old 400-acre site formerly used by General Motors.

American Cast Iron Pipe, Co. is a manufacturer of ductile iron pipe, spiral-welded steel pipe, fire hydrants and valves for the waterworks industry, and electric-resistance-welded steel pipe for the oil and gas industry.
