Alchevsk production in January-July 2006
According to the preliminary data, Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works (Alchevsk), Ukraine, in the first seven months of 2006 produced 1.93 million metric tons of finished steel products, up 15.4 percent, 2.24 million metric tons of crude steel, up 3.1 percent, 1.80 million metric tons of pig iron, up 7.3 percent and 3.04 million metric tons of agglomerate, up 8.7 percent compared to the same period of last year. In July of 2006, Alchevsk produced 290,000 metric tons of finished steel products, 334,000 metric tons of crude steel, 267,000 metric tons of pig iron and 446,000 metric tons of agglomerate.
