AK Steel ratifies new labor contract for Ohio facility

AK Steel announced today that members of the United Auto Workers (UAW) have ratified a new 46-month labor agreement, covering approximately 300 hourly production and maintenance employees at the company’s Coshocton Works facility in Ohio.

UAW officials notified AK Steel that the new contract was approved in a vote held last week at Coshocton Works. The agreement is effective until Jul 31, 2023.

According to news reports, the new contract provides “a flexible and competitive labor contract for the company and its employees at Coshocton Works.”
