Bulgarian welded pipe prices have remained stable over the past three weeks due to the continuing slow demand in the market. As expected, foreign suppliers of flat products to Bulgaria tried to increase their quotations due to the absence of Kremikovtzi from the market and as stocks have been emptied. For October production Ukrainian suppliers were offering 2 mm HRC at around €365-400/mt C&F. However, market insiders think that foreign suppliers have overestimated the potential response from buyers and so expect to see a price decrease in flats in the coming period due to lack of demand. This will help Bulgarian producers of welded pipes to correct their prices in accordance with the real level of demand from end-users.
Current offers of Bulgarian welded pipes and hollow sections of 2-5 mm wall thickness made from S235JR grade HRC are being given to the domestic market at around €450-470/mt ex-works, exclusive of 20 percent VAT and on actual weight basis.
Export prices of Bulgarian ERW pipes and hollow sections of 1.8-6 mm wall thickness made from S235JR grade HRC are at about €450-470/mt ex-works on a theoretical weight basis. Export offers of ERW pipes of 1.5 mm wall thickness made from HRC are being given at around €550-560/mt ex-works.
