As most within the US have taken the current week off, market activity has been especially light. As such, prices for US domestic and import API X-52 line pipe are holding steady.

As of late last week, offers from Mexican mills were heard in the range of $62.50-$65 cwt. ($1,378-$1,433/mt or $1,250-$1,300/nt), FOB Texas, while spot market prices from domestic pipe producers were trending between $64-$67 cwt. ($1,411-$1,477/mt or $1,280-$1,340/nt) ex-mill.

Market activity is expected to return to normal after Jan. 2.
