Buying activity has remained slow in the Turkish seamless pipe market. Foreign suppliers of seamless pipes have been forced to soften their prices under pressure from Turkish buyers. Prices of Chinese and Russian seamless pipes for the Turkish market have decreased by $10-20/mt over the past month. Import offers of Ukrainian material have gone down by 50-60/mt, while prices of Romanian seamless pipes have moved down by $20-30/mt over the period under review. Market participants do not foresee significant price growth in the period ahead as demand may weaken further due to the winter holidays.
Chinese suppliers are offering seamless pipes of 2"-12" grade B made to ASTM A106/API 5L to the Turkish market in the price range of $820-900/mt CFR.
Ukrainian producers' offers for December production pipes of 2"-6" grade B as per ASTM A106/API 5L and EN are being given to the Turkish market at about $810-840/mt CFR, while pipes as per GOST are quoted at around $790-800/mt CFR.
Russian producer ChTPZ Group (Pervouralsky Novotrubny Works) is offering December production 2"-8" seamless hot-formed pipes of grade B made to ASTM at about $820-860/mt CFR.
Import offers of seamless pipes from Romania (ArcelorMittal), 3"-10" of grade B made to ASTM A106 or API 5L, are being given to the Turkish market at around $1,380-1,400/mt CPT.
